The Subconscious Restaurant

 
The first issue of The Subconscious Restaurant was commissioned by art space The Physics Room on the occasion of Taipei digital artist Wang Fujui’s 2012 tour of New Zealand. White Fungus introduced Wang to New Zealand audiences through a series of five events in Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch and Hamilton, plus an exhibition at The Physics Room. The publication includes a history of Taiwanese electronic music by Jeph Lo, and a history of DIY music in New Zealand by Bruce Russell. There are interviews with dancer Zahra Killeen-Chance and performance artist Samin Son. There is an article about “contemporary values” by Hamish Win and a comic by Tim Bollinger.
